Material

Hand dyed fine organic merino from Thelma Steimann with a high twist, the yarn is 100% Organic merino wool. Approx 365m/100g in each skein. Wonderful and soft base to work with.

Fine organic: 2 / 2 / 3 / 3 / 3 / 3

Held together with:

Hand dyed Angel light lace from Thelma Steimann, the yarn is airy and light yarn with a mixture of 80% extra fine merino and 20% Silk. The yarn works perfectly as an alternative to silk mohair. Approx 100g / 800 m in each skein.

Angel light lace : 1/1/1/2/2/2

Take note that hand dyed Angel light lace from Thelma is only available as one of a kind, each hank. If you go for that quality (size L-XXL), you can play with the colors by changing up the hanks, to blend them together as one.

Or

Circular needle 3 mm in 40 or 80 cm for rib

5 x DPN 3 mm for cuffs.

Tapestry needle for weaving in the ends

10 x stitch markers

2 x large stitch holders or scrap yarn for resting stitches

Tension gauge swatch

Make sure to check your tension by creating a gauge swatch before starting your knit. Cast on 21 stitches and knit 29 rows with 4 mm needles, wash and block the sample for a 10 x 10 cm swatch. Everyone’s tension is different, so if your tension is too tight and your gauge swatch measures too little, change to a thicker needle. If your tension is too loose and your gauge swatch is too wide, change to a thinner needle.

Good to know

The cardigan is knitted from top down in the raglan style, starting on the neckline, knit- ting the yoke and separating the arms and body and continuing from there. The sleeves are knitted in a round with an increase. The rib lining on the cardigan is knitted onto the cardigan after the cardigan has been knitted.

The yarn quantity required is based on the average, and is therefore an approximate number. The sweater can be knitted in any yarn that consists of the same thickness as Fine Organic, held together with either Angel lace or Kid silk mohair, or reaches the same gauge as provided.
