Good to know

The vest is knitted from bottom to top from right and wrong side. Three of the button holes are knitted along with the body. The body is opened up for the pockets, the stitches will rest on safety pins and knitted later on. The body is divided by the armpits and thereafter the vest is knitted in three separate pieces, right-, left- and backside. All the sides will be connected again, from the back side. Pockets are knitted on sock needles in round, and the front side of the pockets is knitted and stitched down so it becomes double layered. Stitches from armpits are picked up and knitted with rib stitch in round. The inner side edge of the vest is knitted with double knitting, by knitting for right and wrong side sepa- rately, moving the stitches from the horizontal side over unknitted. The side edge is knitted onto the vest by knitting the last stitch from the right side together with the edge stitch on the vest. The inner side edge is opened up for three more button holes that are aligned with the ones on the body.
